3 for $15 Thanksgiving bouquet

Holidays with Heinen’s: Decorating Your Table

On Thanksgiving Day the food is, understandably, a star of the show…but who says there can only be one star? We love to dress up our tables and homes with fall floral arrangements that are easy to make. The beautiful assortments of shapes and colors share the spotlight with the display of food.

Using bouquets from the 3 for $15 section of the Floral Department, we’ve put together four ideas for you to pull inspiration from & build your own festive floral arrangements. These are sure to impress!

Floral Cornucopia

Display of floral items

What you’ll need:

  • An array of color from 3/$15 bouquets – we chose Solidago, Roses, Sunflowers, & Ornamental Kale
  • An empty cornucopia
  • Your choice of produce – we incorporated an artichoke
  • Fall finds from your yard & attic – leaves, berries, & extra fall decor

Gather all of your items and trim your flowers to a length that will allow you to nestle them into the cornucopia. Arrange the flowers in alternating patters, then arrange in the cornucopia and add your fall finds throughout. This works great as a centerpiece or a point of conversation anywhere in your home.

What you’ll need:

  • Bouquets with a variety of shapes from 3/$15 section – we chose Magnolia Leaves, Calla lilies, and Hydrangea
  • Additional bouquets we selected included one bunch of tulips and one bunch of fall mums
  • One package of Kumquats
  • Assorted greenery and/or herbs from your yard
  • One or more dishes to display your flowers
  • Floral foam to fit into the base of your dish(es)

Materials for making a centerpiece

When trimming the stems of your flowers, keep in mind the shape of your vessel the length you may need. It’s better to leave stems longer and trim as needed! Begin inserting your arrangement into the floral foam. Allow for various heights amidst the arrangement to add depth and focal points within. The Kumquats can be nestled between flowers – they add great color to the display.
