Irresistible Homemade Nut Mixes

Looking to spice up your next game watch party or game-day tailgate? Try mixing up a few batches of these homemade nut mixes and watch them disappear. A few simple ingredients and a little quick prep is all that’s needed to create these crowd-pleasing snacks.

Sweet & Spicy Mixed Nuts

Sweet and Spicy Nuts1 can Heinen’s Mixed Nuts
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
1 tsp salt
1 TBS Two Brothers Blackening Seasoning

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large sauté pan, heat water, add sugar and stir until dissolved, add salt and seasoning. Remove from heat, add nuts and toss in liquid to coat. Spread onto parchment lined baking sheet. Bake at 350 for 5 mins. Let cool and serve, or store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.


Brown-butter Bacon Rosemary Mixed Nuts

Bacon and Rosemary Mixed Nuts1 can Heinen’s Mixed Nuts
2 pieces thick cut bacon, chopped
2 TBS butter
2 TBS sugar
1 TBS salt
1 sprig fresh rosemary
1 TBS Two Brothers Orange Chipotle Seasoning

In a large sauté pan, cook bacon. Remove bacon, leaving the fat. Add butter, sugar, salt, seasoning and rosemary into the pan. Once butter is melted and slightly brown (be careful not to burn), add nuts and toss to coat. Spread out on a tray to cool or serve warm. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.


Sweet Soy & Coconut Mixed Nuts

Coconut Soy Mixed Nuts1 can Heinen’s Mixed Nuts
1/4 cup sugar
3 TBS water
3 TBS soy sauce
1 TBS Sriracha Sauce
½ cup toasted coconut

In a large sauté pan, heat water, add sugar stir until dissolved then add Sriracha and soy. Remove from heat, add nuts and toasted coconut and toss in liquid to coat. Spread out on a tray to cool. Serve or store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
