Satisfy your Game Day Appetite with these Super Sandwiches

Need ideas for feeding hungry guests coming over to cheer on your team? Look no further than these, super, made-at-home sandwiches. Irresistible Muffaletta on Fresh Baked Sourdough, Roasted Vegetable and Turkey Ciabatta and bite-sized Roast Beef and Horseradish Pesto Sliders make for perfect gameday fare. You can put together these gourmet sandwiches with easy to grab ingredients from the Heinen’s Deli, Bakery, Olive and Salad Bar. It’s as easy as that!

Muffaletta

1 loaf of Heinen’s Sourdough sliced in half
1/2 pound of sliced black forest ham
12 slices of genoa salami
12 slices of Columbus sopressata
6 slices of provolone
3 thinly sliced buffalo mozzarella balls
4 leaves of red leaf lettuce
2 thinly sliced Roma tomatoes
Thinly sliced red onions
1 cup of finely minced assorted, seeded Heinen’s marinated olives
2 ounces of melted unsalted butter
Kosher salt and fresh cracked pepper to taste

Layer the ham, salami, sopressata, Provolone and sliced mozzarella on the bottom half of the sourdough.

Brush the remaining inside of the sourdough loaf with unsalted butter and season with salt and pepper.

Place both sides on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper.

Cook under the broiler on low heat for 3 to 4 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the other loaf of sourdough is toasted.

Add the leaf lettuce, tomatoes, onions and finely minced olives, and remaining toasted side of bread.

Slice.

Roasted Vegetables and Turkey

1 loaf of Heinen’s ciabatta sliced in half
1/2 pound of thinly sliced roasted turkey breast deli meat
1 ounce of thinly sliced prosciutto ham
1 cup Heinen’s roasted vegetables (asparagus, onions, squashes, mushrooms, and peppers)
1 cup of Heinen’s Jarlsberg cheese spread
2 ounces of melted unsalted butter
Kosher salt and fresh cracked pepper to taste

Layer the turkey, ham and assorted vegetables on the bottom half of the ciabatta.

Brush the remaining inside of the ciabatta loaf with unsalted butter and season with salt and pepper.

Place both sides on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper.

Cook under the broiler on low heat for 3 to 4 minutes or until the vegetables are warm and the remaining loaf of ciabatta is toasted.

Spread Heinen’s Jarlsberg cheese spread onto the toasted piece of ciabatta and top of the sandwich.

Slice.

Roast Beef Sliders

6 Heinen’s dinner rolls sliced in half
1/4 pound of roast beef deli meat
3 sliced of sharp cheddar cheese
Red leaf lettuce
Thinly sliced Roma tomatoes
Thinly sliced red onion
1/2 cup of prepared pesto sauce
1 heaping tablespoon of prepared horseradish

In a small bowl whisk together the pesto and horseradish until combined. Set aside.

Layer the roast beef, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and onions on the bottom piece of the dinner rolls.

Spread the horseradish pesto on the remaining slices of dinner rolls.

Add to the top of each sandwich.

Serve.
