Trudie’s Tips for Managing Stress

When we don’t manage stress… stress will manage us. It manifests in the form of headaches, neck & back pain, sleep problems, depression, anxiety, illness, weight gain, weight loss and more.

I’ve learned to manage stress through various ways, and two of my favorites are aromatherapy and listening to the sounds of nature.

During the day I add 1–2 drops of essential oils in my diffuser necklace and wear it throughout the day. I also have one hanging in my car.
Lavender, Basil, Bergamot, Frankincense, Chamomile, Lemongrass and Peppermint are a few essential oils that have a calming, soothing, relaxing and balancing effect.
In the evening I place a few drops of essential oils in my diffuser to assist me with relaxing.

Sounds of Nature:
On my cellphone, I have “Ocean Sounds” saved to a playlist that I listen to during the day when needed and at night while I sleep.
There are many sounds of nature to select from; it’s just a matter of choosing one that you enjoy.
