I would like to recommend an outstanding book written by Jordan Rubin, founder of Garden of Life products. His book, "The Maker’s Diet", is a firsthand account of how he suffered from Crohn’s disease,  with near- fatal episodes of symptoms and setbacks, and managed to take control of his own health by following The Maker’s Diet (foods that are found in the Bible and have proven results for optimal health through the generations).
