Organic Keitt Mango

Organic Keitt Mango

  • Large in size with skin that is fully green when ripe and a golden orange flesh that is soft to the touch
  • Flesh is fiber-free, creamy and honey-sweet in flavor with hints of lemon
  • Choose firm fruits with flawless skin and a fresh scent
  • Generally sold firm, so leave at room temperature until it yields to gentle pressure
  • Commonly enjoyed raw, out-of-hand, but can also be used in sorbets, cocktails, smoothies, fruit salads and even savory rice dishes
  • Refrigerate once ripe for up to a week or more.

Passion Fruit

  • An egg-shaped tropical fruit with a thick, hard shell that is deeply wrinkled when ripe
  • Contains an aromatic, jelly-like golden flesh that is sweet-tart in flavor and filled with edible seeds
  • Generally eaten fresh, but can be cooked for use in sauces and fillings
  • Choose fragrant, shriveled, wrinkled fruit that is rich in color
  • If the skin is smooth, ripen at room temperature, turning the fruit occasionally
  • Once ripe, refrigerate in a plastic bag for up to a few days or freeze for extended storage without a loss of quality
  • To prepare, halve the fruit and scoop out the pulp and seeds with a spoon

Maitake, Oyster and Trumpet Mushrooms

  • Known for their rippling fan shape and distinct aroma, Maitake mushrooms are called “The Hen of the Woods” for their rich, woodsy flavor. Best sauteed in butter or oil, these mushrooms are great for adding richness to entrees and side dishes.
  • Oyster mushrooms are some of the most commonly cultivated edible mushrooms in the world.  They are simple to cook and offer a delicate, sweet flavor. Their thin texture and ability to cook evenly makes them perfect for stir-fries!
  • Featuring a tall, thick stem with a light brown cap, Trumpet mushrooms are firm and meaty in texture with a gentle nutty flavor. With no sodium, cholesterol or fat, their meaty texture resembles that of scallops when cooked, which makes them the perfect mushroom to sauté, grill and stew.

Rave Apples

  • The natural result of a cross between the beloved Honeycrisp and MonArk, a variety from Arkansas
  • Available in early August due to the MonArk’s ability to color and ripen early in the growing season
  • Grown on Stemilt Farms in Washington state
  • Perfectly round with a bright fuchsia-red skin that covers a yellow flesh
  • Known for being extremely juicy with a refreshing snappy zing
  • Crisp, fine, white flesh that fractures just like Honeycrisp
  • Excellent apple for snacking and fresh applications like cheeseboards and salads
  • Due to its juiciness, it is not ideal for cooking or baking
  • Store in the coldest part of the refrigerator away from strong-smelling foods like onion and garlic
