These Apple Cider Mojitos bring summer fun to the fall and winter.

Apple Cider Mojitos

Featuring fresh Midwest apple cider and white rum mixed with vibrant mint and lime, this cocktail is most delicious at a seasonal happy hour, or alongside a Thanksgiving feast!

  • 4 oz. Midwest apple cider
  • 4 oz. white rum
  • 5-6 fresh mint leaves
  • Juice of ½ lime
  • Heinen’s lime sparkling water


  1. Add 2 oz. of apple cider and 2 oz. of rum to each glass.
  2. Place the mint leaves in the palm of your hand and clap a few times. This releases the oils in the mint leaves, which adds aromatics to the cocktail. Place the mint leaves in the glasses with the apple cider and rum.
  3. Add the lime juice to each glass.
  4. Fill the glasses all the way to the top with fresh ice.
  5. Top with Heinen’s lime-flavored sparkling water and give it a good stir.
  6. Garnish with a fresh apple slice and enjoy!

In 1929, Joe Heinen opened the doors of a small butcher shop on the east side of Cleveland, Ohio, aiming to establish himself as the city’s purveyor of quality meats. As customers came into Heinen’s new shop for their meat purchases, they began asking him to carry groceries as well. Joe added homemade peanut butter, pickles and donuts and by 1933, business had grown enough to include a line of produce and canned goods. Heinen’s Grocery Store was born.
