  • Coleslaw
  • Mandarin Oranges
  • Wonton Crisps
  • Asian-Style Dressing or Aioli

Flavorful Additions

  • A Sprinkle of Sesame Seeds
  • A Sprinkle of Chopped Cilantro
  • Frozen Corn, Edamame and or Peas
  • Steamed Broccoli, Carrots and Snow Peas drizzled with sesame oil
  • A Slice of Fresh Pineapple or Mango Sprinkled with Unsweetened Coconut for Each Plate or
  • A Few Slices of Cucumber and Avocado Sprinkled with Sesame Seeds

Instructions

  1. Sauté the salmon burger in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Serve the salmon burger over a bed of coleslaw sprinkled with oranges, crispy wontons and a drizzle of dressing or aioli.

Alternative Serving Suggestions

  1. Add all ingredients over rice or noodles to make an Asian salmon noodle bowl with extra dressing.
  2. Add Chopped romaine lettuce, cucumber, sliced radishes and halved grape tomato to make the salad heartier.

In 1929, Joe Heinen opened the doors of a small butcher shop on the east side of Cleveland, Ohio, aiming to establish himself as the city’s purveyor of quality meats. As customers came into Heinen’s new shop for their meat purchases, they began asking him to carry groceries as well. Joe added homemade peanut butter, pickles and donuts and by 1933, business had grown enough to include a line of produce and canned goods. Heinen’s Grocery Store was born.
