Simple and impressive, this party-perfect appetizer features seared tuna rolled in sesame seeds, topped with pickled ginger and cilantro, and served on crackers.

Ingredients:

3/4-lb Sushi Grade Ahi tuna, cleaned and cut into 2-inch thick strips (NOTE: When serving fish raw, it’s important to purchase “sushi-grade” seafood and to always keep the fish cold.)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1/3 cup sesame seeds
6 tablespoons Two Brothers Island Soy Teriyaki Sauce
3 tablespoons finely chopped pickled ginger
Minced cilantro
Rice crackers

Preparation:

1. Salt and pepper the tuna and roll it into the sesame seeds so that they adhere.

2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and when hot add the strips of tuna to the pan.

3. Cook on all sides for 30 seconds. The center of the strip should still be raw.

4. Allow the fish to cook and slice thinly into squares. Top rice crackers with the fish, a drizzle of teriyaki soy, ginger and cilantro. Serve immediately.
