12. Rave® Apples
Although not yet available, we simply could not wait to share the news about the Rave® Apples we’ll welcome to our Produce Department in August. Grown by our friends at Stemilt in Washington state, Rave® is a cross between Honeycrisp and MonArk, an unreleased apple that ripens early in the season. Rave® apples are outrageously juicy with a refreshing, snappy zing and have the unique position of being the first apple to harvest, coming off the tree in late July. As we load our carts with these sweet first of the season fruits, mark your calendars because the the Rave® Road Trip truck will be stopping by Heinen’s of Mentor and Avon on August 29th and 30th for special tastings and giveaways.
