In case you haven’t noticed, over the course of the last few decades, Heinen’s has been peppering their grocery shelves, refrigerators and freezers with a dizzying array of products sporting the Heinen’s and Two Brothers labels. It all started back in 1948 when founder Joe Heinen started selling fresh squeezed orange juice. Fast forward to today and you can find the Heinen’s or Two Brothers logo on more than 1,000 products in nearly every department. From household items like laundry detergent to quinoa, broth and baking chocolate, Heinen’s goal is to continue to offer quality products of equal or better quality at a better price point than national brands.

Most of us have a basic weekly shopping list that runs through our minds when visiting the grocery store. You know, those items we mindlessly pick up because we must have them on-hand at all times. The following list of Heinen’s and Two Brothers products should help you bridge the gap between those staples and a few new products you’ve been meaning to try but aren’t quite sure how to integrate into your everyday menus. With a little imagination, many of these 12 fan-favorites can be used to elevate weeknight dishes to dining out status.

There are few items on the Heinen’s shelves more addictive than Heinen’s Parmesan Crisps. Made from 100% Real Aged Parmesan Cheese and rBGH and rBST free, these intensely savory crackers are the perfect crispy treat to go along with soups, salads, dips or as a stand-alone snack. The Everything version includes sesame seeds, poppy seeds, garlic and onion all mixed together with salty, savory Parmesan cheese. What could be easier than popping a Heinen’s Flatbread Pizza in the oven? Dinner is served with a crispy stone-baked crust peppered with delicious toppings to please every palate. The Pepperoni Duo Flatbread is a childhood favorite with melted mozzarella cheese and chunky, sliced pepperoni. The Buffalo-Style Ranch Chicken Flatbread combines spicy buffalo chicken with a creamy blue cheese ranch sauce for the adults. The BBQ Chicken Flatbread incorporates chipotle BBQ sauce with cheese, crunchy peppers and red onion, while the Bruschetta Flatbread is topped with a three-cheese blend and tomatoey bruschetta spread. Last but not least is everyone’s favorite, a Margherita Flatbread of simple tomatoes and cheese. In 1929, Joe Heinen opened the doors of a small butcher shop on the east side of Cleveland, Ohio, aiming to establish himself as the city’s purveyor of quality meats. As customers came into Heinen’s new shop for their meat purchases, they began asking him to carry groceries as well. Joe added homemade peanut butter, pickles and donuts and by 1933, business had grown enough to include a line of produce and canned goods. Heinen’s Grocery Store was born.
