In case you haven’t noticed, over the course of the last few decades, Heinen’s has been peppering their grocery shelves, refrigerators and freezers with a dizzying array of products sporting the Heinen’s and Two Brothers labels. It all started back in 1948 when founder Joe Heinen started selling fresh squeezed orange juice. Fast forward to today and you can find the Heinen’s or Two Brothers logo on more than 1,000 products in nearly every department. From household items like laundry detergent to quinoa, broth and baking chocolate, Heinen’s goal is to continue to offer quality products of equal or better quality at a better price point than national brands.

Most of us have a basic weekly shopping list that runs through our minds when visiting the grocery store. You know, those items we mindlessly pick up because we must have them on-hand at all times. The following list of Heinen’s and Two Brothers products should help you bridge the gap between those staples and a few new products you’ve been meaning to try but aren’t quite sure how to integrate into your everyday menus. With a little imagination, many of these 12 fan-favorites can be used to elevate weeknight dishes to dining out status.

Heinen's Parmesan Crisps

Heinen’s Parmesan Crisps
There are few items on the Heinen’s shelves more addictive than Heinen’s Parmesan Crisps. Made from 100% Real Aged Parmesan Cheese and rBGH and rBST free, these intensely savory crackers are the perfect crispy treat to go along with soups, salads, dips or as a stand-alone snack. The Everything version includes sesame seeds, poppy seeds, garlic and onion all mixed together with salty, savory Parmesan cheese. Crumble the crackers on top of a soup, salad or roasted vegetables to add crunch and visual interest, or add them to charcuterie boards and cheese plates along with other crackers, fruits, nuts and condiments.

Heinen's Guacamole

Heinen’s Guacamole
Though it may not be difficult to make guacamole, finding ripe, soft avocados when you need them can be a bit tricky. Heinen’s comes to the rescue with Heinen’s Guacamole. Made with fresh squeezed lime juice, jalapeño peppers, tomatoes and freshly chopped cilantro, nothing is easier or more delicious than serving this guac with your favorite chips and salsa. Guacamole is one of the most versatile dips when spooned onto grilled or roasted chicken, fish, beef or pork, and it can also be spread on sandwiches such as a BLT or Turkey Club. Add a dollop of guacamole to deviled eggs, salads or as a topping on baked potatoes. Even easier, make guacamole toast with a sprinkle of Two Brother’s Everything Seasoning (see below) on top.

Heinen's Flatbread Pizzas

Heinen’s Flatbread Pizzas
What could be easier than popping a Heinen’s Flatbread Pizza in the oven? Dinner is served with a crispy stone-baked crust peppered with delicious toppings to please every palate. The BBQ Chicken Flatbread incorporates chipotle BBQ sauce with cheese, crunchy peppers and red onion, while the Bruschetta Flatbread is topped with a three-cheese blend and tomatoey bruschetta spread. Last but not least is everyone’s favorite, a Margherita Flatbread of simple tomatoes and cheese. Frozen flatbread pizza is not only a great dinner, but cut into small wedges, it makes a terrific appetizer, lunch or side to a light bowl of soup.

There’s more good news with new varieties coming in the flavors of Vegetable Flatbread, Four Cheese Flatbread and White Flatbread with Garlic and Italian Herbs.

It’s incredibly easy to incorporate healthy and delicious freshly ground nut butters into our diets. Try blending these nut butters into to smoothies, baking them into cookies and brownies, mixing them into your morning oatmeal, making a nutty salad dressing or dip for vegetables and meats, drizzling them over ice cream or just eating them out of the container with a spoon!

Heinen’s Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice
For decades, exceptional citrus has always been important to Heinen’s. Paired with a hearty early morning breakfast, a delicious brunch or mixed with a splash of bubbly, this bright citrus drink is refreshing at any time of day. While Heinen’s stays true to their tradition of fresh-squeezing classic Florida Valencia oranges in-store daily, when citrus season rolls around, they simply can’t resist squeezing a few seasonal favorites like Blood Orange and Cara Cara Orange Juice. Not only for drinking, nothing brightens the flavor of soups, stews and braises like a splash of orange juice, or you can make a sweet and savory sauce after sautéing chicken or pork chops by adding a splash of Heinen’s Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice to deglaze the skillet.

By Heinen's Grocery Store
In 1929, Joe Heinen opened the doors of a small butcher shop on the east side of Cleveland, Ohio, aiming to establish himself as the city’s purveyor of quality meats. As customers came into Heinen’s new shop for their meat purchases, they began asking him to carry groceries as well. Joe added homemade peanut butter, pickles and donuts and by 1933, business had grown enough to include a line of produce and canned goods. Heinen’s Grocery Store was born.
