Spiced Hot Fruit Bake

Spiced Hot Fruit Bake

The following recipe and photography were provided by our partner, Yoko Segawa of Yoko’s Kitchen.

Cookies, cakes and pies are great, but after a heavy holiday meal, fruit makes a pretty great dessert!

The end of the year is when pears and apples reach peak ripeness, making them perfect for all kinds of baking applications, like this Spiced Hot Fruit Bake. Heinen’s goes above and beyond to ensure that their fresh seasonal produce meets their strict expectations for quality, so when you’re shopping for fresh fruit to make this dish, turn to them. You’re guaranteed to taste the difference!

This Spiced Hot Fruit Bake is basically a winter spin on a fruit salad. It uses winter produce, like pears, apples, cranberries and oranges, and instead of being served cold, it’s served warm with a scoop of ice cream. Even better, it’s coated in a rich and luxurious spiced maple-butter sauce with nuts, which makes each bite a decadent treat!

Easy to make and even easier to eat, it’s time to indulge in something fruity this holiday season!
