Alaskan Brewing – Grapefruit Imperial
Grapefruit IPA. ABV: 8.5%
Imperial IPA is made with Juneau’s glacier-fed water and an array of hops used in the boil and dry hopping, including Simcoe, Mosaic, Topaz, Bravo, Summit, Nugget and Apollo hops. Pale, Munich, and Light Crystal malts provide the backbone.
This beer pours copper with a creamy, thick head. Some lacing on the glass. Grapefruit aromas (with a spicy pepper just beneath it) come off the top. Carbonation is prickly on the tongue. The hops are mix of grassy (Chinook, Amarillo) and bitter (Centennial) – this isn’t one of those gooey, chewy resinous imperial IPAs that peels the enamel of your teeth. The finish is dry. All in all, another stellar beer.

Fresh Flower Market at Heinen’s: Everyday Flower Design
Join Heinen’s flower experts for a hands-on floral design workshop and learn how to create a beautiful arrangement using everyday flowers. In this guided class, you’ll discover essential design tips, from selecting and prepping stems to building balance, shape, and visual interest in your arrangement.
For $50 per person, each guest will craft their own arrangement to take home and enjoy, along with the confidence to recreate the look again. Light refreshments will be available during the class, making it a fun and creative evening out.
