University Heights' Beer Picks | Cold Draft Beer
Rhinegeist – Pixel
This crisp and refreshing Cold IPA is programmed with extra-high hpi (hops per inch) for loads of tropical accents and a clean, focused finish. A bright, bold display for your taste buds, Pixel is one high-res brew. Pixel is a limited release. 7% ABV
Phase Three -Swells
West Coast IPA – A blend of mid-west barley with orange pulpy Simcoe with lemony Centennial and a bit of tropical forward Citra hops in the kettle. 6.5% ABV
Butcher and Brewer – Albino Stout
Pale in color w/ notes of chocolate, vanilla, and coffee. 5.4% ABV
Boulevard Brewing – Bourbon Barrel Quad Ale
Based loosely on the Smokestack Series’ The Sixth Glass, this abbey-style quadrupel is separated into a number of oak bourbon barrels where it ages for varying lengths of time, some for up to three years. Cherries are added to make up for the “angel’s share” of beer lost during barrel aging. Selected barrels are then blended for optimum flavor. The resulting beer retains only very subtle cherry characteristics, with toffee and vanilla notes coming to the fore. 12.2%
