3 Delicious Ways to Enjoy Heinen’s Fresh Ground Nut Butters

3 Ways to Use Heinen's Fresh Ground Nut Butter

The following recipe and photography were provided by our partner, Yoko Segawa of Yoko’s Kitchen.

Not all nut butters are created equal!

When shopping for nut butters at the grocery store, there’s one thing you should always look for: a simple ingredient list! Naturally loaded with protein, healthy fats, vitamins and minerals, nuts are nutritional powerhouses in their whole and ground forms. Sadly, most store-bought peanut butters are overly processed with added sugars, oils and fats, which essentially strips the nutritional value.

If you’re looking for nut butters you can trust, check out the fresh ground selection in Heinen’s Produce Department. Available in peanut, honey roasted peanut, walnut, almond and cashew, these nut butters are fresh ground with little-to-no added ingredients at Heinen’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Warrensville Heights, Ohio.

Heinen's Fresh Ground Honey Roasted Nut Butter

Equally sweet and savory with a satisfying texture, these nut butters are an ideal addition to traditional PB&J sandwiches, smoothies and toast, but to help you think outside of the jar, I’ve concocted three unique, minimal effort recipes that put Heinen’s fresh ground nut butters at center stage.

  • Iced Peanut Butter Banana Latte
  • Honey Roasted Peanut Butter Fudge
  • Honey Roasted Peanut Butter and Blackberry Compote Waffles

While these recipes feature Heinen’s fresh ground honey roasted nut butter, any nut butter from their selection will work just as well!

Why You’ll Love These Recipes

  • Creamy banana milk combined with peanut butter makes the Iced Peanut Butter Banana Latte an amazing drink on its own but combining it with espresso gives your daily coffee an added touch of comfort.
  • Irresistibly smooth, the Honey Roasted Peanut Butter Fudge is made with just a handful of wholesome ingredients. A quick mix and chill is all it takes to sink your teeth into this nutty treat!
  • The Honey Roasted Peanut Butter and Blackberry Compote Waffles are extremely simple thanks to Birch Benders’ frozen waffles. All you need to do is elevate the flavor with a sweet and refreshing homemade blackberry compote, which can be made in advance.
