Take our Produce Department for example. Operating on the philosophy that fresh is best, we source top-quality ingredients and create made-in-house products including fresh squeezed juices, fresh cut fruit and fresh ground nut butters.

Over the years, these products have become staples of our brand, and for good reason – they’re delicious, convenient, wholesome and guaranteed fresh!

Heinen’s Fresh Squeezed Juices

We have been fresh squeezing orange juice in-store since the 1940s! Today, we have automated juicers in each of our stores and have added grapefruit juice to our everyday offering.

Our process for juicing starts at our warehouse where juicing citrus is inspected to ensure it meets our strict quality standards.

The produce then arrives to our stores where it is sanitized, juiced and bottled by our Produce Associates for customers to enjoy.

During the winter, when citrus is at its peak, you can even find seasonal fresh squeezed juices, like blood orange. But regardless of the time of year, we are only squeezing the best varieties available to us.

Heinen’s Fresh Cut Fruit

Our commitment to freshness and convenience in our Produce Department continues with our selection of fresh cut fruit.

Shipped whole and monitored for peak ripeness, our fresh fruit is cut everyday by our associates to preserve quality and flavor. Available in multiple varieties and sizes, including custom fruit tray arrangements, our fresh cut fruit makes an effortless addition to parties, events and daily meals and snacks.

Heinen’s Fresh Ground Nut Butters

A unique find in our Produce Department is our fresh ground nut butters!

Roasted and ground by Heinen’s since the 1960s, our recipe was simple then, and has remained the same: take roasted nuts and grind.

From customer-favorite honey roasted to our cashew and walnut butters, each variety is delicious and nutritious in baked goods and smoothies, on toast or enjoyed by the spoonful.

We’ve always held ourselves to the highest standards of quality for the products we source, and we guarantee you’ll taste the difference in the products we make, too!
