What better way to celebrate summer than by sampling a variety of rich and refreshing ice cream sundaes? Topped with a wide range fruits, sweets, and sauces, this DIY Ice Cream Flight is the coolest way to satisfy any sweet tooth!

The key to creating the perfect food flight is choosing a variety of flavor profiles and serving each combination in small dishes so you have a chance to try everything before getting too full, or in this case, before getting a brain freeze!

Here we’ve paired five mouthwatering flavors from Tillamook (Peaches & Cream, German Chocolate Cake, Cookies & Cream, Oregon Dark Cherry, and Waffle Cone Swirl) with classic and unique ice cream toppings. From a homemade peanut butter quick shell to a sprinkle of mini chocolate chips, you’re sure to find a combination you love.

Ingredients

Brown Sugar Peaches & Cream

  • Tillamook Peaches & Cream ice cream
  • 2 peaches, cut into wedges
  • 1 Tbsp. Heinen’s unsalted sweet cream butter
  • 2 Tbsp. Heinen’s organic light brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp. lemon zest
  • ½ tsp. vanilla paste

German Chocolate S’mores Cake

  • Tillamook German Chocolate Cake ice cream
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Graham crackers, crushed

Cookies & Cream with Peanut Butter Quick Shell

  • Tillamook Cookies and Cream ice cream
  • 3 Tbsp. Heinen’s creamy organic peanut butter
  • 1½ Tbsp. Heinen’s organic coconut oil

Dark Cherry with Chocolate Chips

  • Tillamook Oregon Dark Cherry ice cream
  • Heinen’s mini chocolate chips

Waffle Cone Swirl with Caramel, Whipped Dairy Topping, and Sprinkles

  • Tillamook Waffle Cone Swirl ice cream
  • Smucker’s salted caramel topping
  • Heinen’s whipped dairy topping
  • Sprinkles

Instructions

Brown Sugar Peaches and Cream

  1. Heat the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the peaches and brown sugar and cook until the peaches are tender. Stir in lemon zest and vanilla paste. Remove from the heat and let cool.
  2. Scoop the ice cream into dessert glasses and top with the peach topping.

German Chocolate S’mores Cake

  1. Use a culinary torch or oven broiler to toast the marshmallows. If using a broiler, arrange the marshmallows on a parchment-lined baking tray and broil for a few minutes until golden brown. Keep a close eye on them because marshmallows burn quickly.
  2. Scoop the ice cream into dessert glasses and top with crushed graham crackers and toasted marshmallows.

Cookies and Cream with Peanut Butter Quick Shell

  1. In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine the peanut butter and coconut oil. Microwave for 30 seconds and stir to combine. Microwave for another 15 seconds if needed, until fully melted and smooth. Let cool slightly.
  2. Scoop the ice cream into dessert glasses and drizzle the quick shell over the top. Let it sit until the shell sets, then crack it with a spoon to enjoy.

Dark Cherry with Chocolate Chips

  1. Scoop the ice cream into dessert glasses and top with chocolate chips.
