The holidays are here, so I am here to show you how to make an absolutely delicious (and simple) strip roast!

Strip roasts are a fantastic alternative to traditional holiday turkey or ham. They are loaded with flavor and will surely please any meat lover at the table.

Let’s get cooking!

How to Prep a Strip Roast

Choose your meat. For this recipe I chose a 5 pound boneless strip roast, but a bone-in strip roast or ribeye work great with this preparation method as well.

Season this strip roast. To a bowl, add 2 Tbsp. of pepper,1 Tbsp. celery salt, 1 Tbsp. of kosher salt, 4 Tbsp. of dried rosemary, 1 Tbsp. of dried thyme and 1 Tbsp. Two Brothers prime rib seasoning.

Mix all of the seasonings together until they are combined and set the mixture to the side.

Rub the top and sides of the strip roast with 2 Tbsp. of olive oil. Once it’s coated, sprinkle all of seasoning mixture on the roast and rub until it completely coats the tops and sides of the meat.

How to Cook a Strip Roast

Place the strip roast in the oven at 450˚F for 20-25 minutes to allow a brown outer crust to form.

After this time, reduce the heat to 250˚F and roast for 20 minutes per pound until it reaches an internal temperature of 125˚F – 135˚F, also known as medium-rare. I highly suggest investing in a meat thermometer for this step. They are inexpensive and key to ensuring your meats are cooked to perfection.

Once cooked to your liking, remove the strip roast from the oven and allow it to rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

That’s all there is to it! I guarantee that if you follow these simple steps, your strip roast will be the talk of the table!
