What’s For Dinner? Loaded Burritos

Ingredients

  • Heinen's Organic Pinto Beans
  • Heinen's Organic Cooked Brown Rice
  • Heinen's Organic Mild Salsa
  • Siete Family Foods, Seasoning Taco Mild
  • Food for Life Tortillas, Sprouted Corn
  • 90% Organic Ground Beef
  • Buckeye Fresh Summer Crisp

Instructions

  1. Place a pot over medium-high heat. Brown the ground beef.
  2. When the beef is browned, add 1/3 cup of water and the seasoning packet, and cook until thickened
  3. Add some of the beans and rice and continue cooking until hot.
  4. Heat another pan over high heat. When hot, quickly heat the tortillas to make them pliable.
  5. Lay out the warm tortillas, spoon the beef mixture onto the tortillas, followed by some salsa and lettuce.
  6. Roll the burritos before serving. Enjoy slices of fresh avocado.

In 1929, Joe Heinen opened the doors of a small butcher shop on the east side of Cleveland, Ohio, aiming to establish himself as the city’s purveyor of quality meats. As customers came into Heinen’s new shop for their meat purchases, they began asking him to carry groceries as well. Joe added homemade peanut butter, pickles and donuts and by 1933, business had grown enough to include a line of produce and canned goods. Heinen’s Grocery Store was born.
