I’ll admit I was a bit selfish when choosing the featured products in this month’s Fx-Approved new product roundup. I’m always on the hunt for healthier swaps that satisfy my cravings for the foods I loved as a kid—just with simpler, more nourishing ingredients. Once again, Heinen’s delivered! The moment I discovered these products, I knew I had to share them with you. So maybe it wasn’t so selfish after all!
Folkland’s mission is to ignite passion for organic, regenerative farming and unite urban and rural communities around what we all deserve—real food. And they certainly live up to it!
Their fries are clean, simple, and delicious because they come from ingredients you’d find in your own kitchen, like potatoes, olive oil, spices, Himalayan salt, and apple cider vinegar. You won’t find a drop of seed oil, lots of salt, or other funky ingredients in these fries!
Available in the Frozen department in these USDA Organic varieties: Himalayan Salt, Rosemary Garlic, and Spicy Cajun.

One Trick Pony
Some would say if you tasted one peanut butter, you’ve tasted them all. After all, peanuts are peanuts. Those folks have clearly never tried One Trick Pony—a USDA Organic peanut butter made with only two ingredients: premium Argentinian peanuts and a pinch of Patagonian sea salt.
Peanuts from the Córdoba Province of Argentina make an exceptionally delicious peanut butter due to the peanuts’ mild, naturally sweet, almost caramel-like flavor and excellent roasting quality.
One Trick Pony’s bubblegum pink upside-down jar minimizes oil separation and is hard to miss next to the other nut butters in the Grocery department. Look for it in Silky Smooth, Crazy Crunchy, and Unsalted Smooth varieties.

Jam by Josh
When I was 10, I was busy playing with Barbies. When Josh Friedlander was 10, he was teaching online cooking classes to kids all over the world and getting ready to launch a business selling his grandma-approved fruit jam.
The now 16-year-old Josh (yes, 16) is really making a name for himself with Jam by Josh, his small-batch jam company dedicated to exceptional quality and flavor. Every jar is made with real fruit carefully sourced from some of the world’s best growing regions, including blueberries from Georgia, Jubilee raspberries from Mexico, Red Haven peaches from Greece, Kent mangoes from Mexico, and Festival strawberries from Egypt.
You can find Jam by Josh in the Jam/Jelly aisle at Heinen’s in Berry Medley, Blueberry, Mango, Peach, and Strawberry varieties.

Three Wishes Marshmallow Cereal and Three Wishes Granola
I debated whether to include Three Wishes Marshmallow Cereal in this month’s roundup because it would mean confessing one of my childhood (and adulthood) food obsessions. Then I remembered my commitment to truth and transparency. So here it is: I love mushrooms. I love mangoes. And yes… I also love marshmallow cereal.
Three Wishes recreated that nostalgic marshmallow flavor (yes, THAT one) in their perfectly crunchy cereal O’s with wholesome ingredients. With 8g of protein from legumes and only 3g of sugar per cup, this cereal is perfect for fueling your inner child.
If granola is more your thing, Heinen’s now carries Three Wishes Granola in Original and Maple Pecan. A fiber-rich, grain-free nut and seed granola just sweet enough to satisfy your craving without going overboard.
All three cereals are in the Cereal aisle at Heinen’s.

The Real Cereal Co. Rice Crisps and Corn Flakes
Finding a cereal without all the added junk is not an easy task. As cereal lovers, The Real Cereal Co. decided to do something about that. They took the classic cereals everyone loves and brought them back to basics, starting with quality organic, non-GMO ingredients for all to enjoy. This means no additives, preservatives, or sugars—just simple, minimal ingredients.
The Real Cereal Co. can be found in the Cereal aisle in Rice Crisp (ingredients: brown rice) and Corn Flakes (ingredients: corn grits and sea salt). Now that’s as real and simple as it gets!

Food for Life Ezekiel 4:9 Sprouted Almond Cereal
In first place for the most wholesome cold cereal on earth… Ezekiel 4:9 Sprouted Almond Cereal! I’ll let the ingredient list do the talking:
Organic sprouted wheat, sliced almonds, sprouted barley, sprouted millet, sprouted lentils, sprouted soybeans, malted barley, sprouted spelt, filtered water, sea salt, and rosemary extract.
Simple. Recognizable. Nourishing. That’s the kind of ingredient list I can get behind.

Key Takeaway
Remember when you were a child and didn’t think twice about eating fries or cereal with cartoon characters on the box? Me too! Now that we’re grown-ups, we must take responsibility for our health, but that doesn’t mean giving up the foods we love. I love discovering simpler, more nutritious versions of some of my childhood favorites that still satisfy those cravings. How about you?
