Verlasso
Verlasso’s salmon farm is located so far south in the Patagonia region of Chile that it requires both a puddle-jumper plane and boat to visit. The expansive remote location of the farm gives the fish extra space to swim and prevents overcrowding. A leader focused on eco friendly solutions, Verlasso uses groundbreaking, ocean-friendly feed that contains no wild-caught feeder fish.
Alaskan Seafood
When you hear Alaska is the source of your seafood, you should think “sustainable!” Alaska’s state constitution includes a mandate focused on sustainable seafood; the only state to include such verbiage. As a model for the rest of the world, Alaska has dedicated itself to preservation.
- Coho Salmon – Harvested mid-June through late October, while the Alaskan ocean waters are icy cold and clear, Coho Salmon are caught by small, family-run fishing operations along the shorelines of Alaska’s Cook Inlet. Coho Salmon is part of our Direct Overnight Seafood Program.
- Copper River Salmon – Fishing on the Copper River is strictly controlled by Alaska’s Department of Fish and Game to ensure preservation of the surrounding natural environment. This approach also prevents overfishing to continually replenish the supply of wild Alaskan salmon for years to come.
