BBQ Cheddar Burger with Pineapple and Bacon
Servings: 2
Ingredients
- 2 Heinen's Fan Favorite Gourmet BBQ Cheddar Burgers
- Heinen's American Cheese Singles
- Heinen's Thick Cut Hickory Bacon
- Pineapple slices (thin)
- Two Brothers BBQ Sauce (for serving)
- Two Brothers Teriyaki Sauce (for marinating)
- King's Hawaiian Sweet Hamburger Buns
- Lettuce
- Olive oil
Instructions
Note: If you would like to add a teriyaki-flavored flair to this burger, add patties to a Ziploc bag with Two Brothers Teriyaki Sauce to marinate in refrigerator for about 30 mins – 1 hour before cooking.
- Bake the bacon first at 400F for 15-20 minutes depending on thickness. I bake the strips on a rack within a tray so that it’s not sitting in it’s own grease getting soft. When done, I baste lightly with BBQ sauce and salt and pepper them lightly.
- Cut bacon into thick 3inch pieces for the burgers later.
- Slice cored pineapple and set aside.
- Prepare a skillet on medium-high heat to get it hot, then add a splash of olive oil and cook burgers to your liking. We just don’t when them to stick if the pan isn’t hot enough!
- Lower the temperature once it’s cooked on the first side (for a minute).
- These burgers will cook fast and burn if left on high. When it’s about ready, place cheese slices on top to melt.
- Once patties are cooked to your liking, assemble burgers in the following order: bottom bun, lettuce, patty with cheese, a splash of BBQ sauce, pineapple, bacon, and top bun.
