Turkey Goat Cheese Burger with Apricot Preserves
The following recipe and photography was provided by recipe developer and food photographer, Ashley Durand of Plate & Pen.
Love burgers but looking for a lighter option to add to your rotation? Heinen’s Turkey Goat Cheese Burgers are satisfying with a creamy tang built right into the patty. For this recipe, I served mine on classic kaiser rolls which I found in Heinen’s Bakery.
Each bite of this burger feels elevated and offers a contrast of flavor between warm, savory, bright, and fresh. When plating the burger, you can even lightly warm up the apricot preserves before spreading them onto the burger to help them melt slightly into the goat cheese and turkey.
Why You’ll Love This Recipe:
- Fresh, In-House Quality. Heinen’s Gourmet Burgers are a Fan Favorite for a reason! Made fresh in-store with premium CARE Certified beef, you’ll get a rich, juicy flavor and steakhouse-quality texture every time.
- Sweet, Peppery & Savory Balance. Topped with fresh arugula, thinly sliced red onion, and apricot preserves on a soft kaiser roll, every bite delivers a perfect balance of sweetness and richness.
- Versatile Flavor, Endless Options. This turkey goat cheese burger is a blank canvas for creativity. Try it again and top with tangy sun-dried tomatoes or sliced avocado.

Turkey Goat Cheese Burger with Apricot Preserves
Servings: 2
Ingredients
- 2 Heinen's Turkey Goat Cheese Burgers
- Bonne Maman Apricot Preserves
- Heinen's Baby Arugula
- Red onions (thinly sliced)
- Heinen's Kaiser Rolls
- Olive oil
Instructions
- Prepare a skillet on medium-high heat to get it hot, then add a splash of olive oil and cook burgers to your liking. We just don’t want them to stick if the pan isn’t hot enough!
- Lower the temperature once it’s cooked on the first side (for a minute).
- These burgers will cook fast and burn if left on high.
- Once patties are cooked to your liking, assemble burgers in the following order: bottom bun, a handful of arugula, patty, apricot preserves, red onion slices, and top bun.
