These Prosciutto Melon Bites are the most refreshing summer appetizer!

Topped with mozzarella, balsamic glaze, and a goat cheese honey drizzle, each bite is sweet, salty and very satisfying.

We recommend preparing this recipe with Heinen’s fresh, whole cantaloupe while it’s in season, but if you’re short on time, feel free to grab a package of Heinen’s fresh-cut cantaloupe for a secret shortcut!

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

  • It comes together in no time! Appetizers should never take a long time to make. With just a little cutting, wrapping, mixing, and drizzling, this simple summer starter is ready in about 15 minutes.
  • It has two types of cheese. Each melon bite is skewered with a fresh mozzarella pearl and then drizzled with a goat cheese honey sauce for the ultimate indulgent bite.
  • It offers a unique blend of flavors of textures. The sweetness of fresh cantaloupe is the perfect partner to a salty piece of prosciutto, tangy goat cheese drizzle, and rich balsamic glaze. Even better than the combination of flavors is the blend of textures that result from skewering a tender melon square with thin charcuterie meat and pillowy soft mozzarella cheese! You won’t be able to stop after just one bite.
