Galentine’s Day Sips and Snacks

Galentine's day raspberry cocktail

The following recipe and photography for this post were provided by local blogger Abby Thome of The Thome Home.

Whether you have a significant other or not, it’s always important to show your best girls some love on Valentine’s Day! That’s why I’ll be celebrating “Galentine’s Day” this year, because who doesn’t love a night in with lifelong friends gabbing about life and munching on delicious treats?

For my girly gathering, I decided to make things easy on myself by serving sips and snacks featuring all of the best parts of Valentine’s Day: rosé, chocolate and cheese! Whip this easy and elegant spread up for your friends and you’ll have their taste buds falling in love.

By Heinen's Grocery Store
In 1929, Joe Heinen opened the doors of a small butcher shop on the east side of Cleveland, Ohio, aiming to establish himself as the city’s purveyor of quality meats. As customers came into Heinen’s new shop for their meat purchases, they began asking him to carry groceries as well. Joe added homemade peanut butter, pickles and donuts and by 1933, business had grown enough to include a line of produce and canned goods. Heinen’s Grocery Store was born.
