8 Rosés for Summer Sipping

The following recommendations are courtesy of Heinen’s Wine Expert, Ed Thompkins.

The “Rosé Revolution” is in full-swing! Offering an array of complex flavors derived from grapes that span far beyond the usual suspects, rosé has experienced tremendous growth in both popularity and variety. Extraordinarily versatile with a wide assortment of foods, there’s never been a better time to celebrate this warm weather wine!

It is this time of year when we look forward to the fresh releases of the previous vintage. Like so many spring flowers, the 2020 rosé vintage is blooming in our stores, and we have curated a delicious, worldly assortment that features an all-star cast of grapes.

Rosés are best enjoyed around an outdoor table with friends and family, so we’ve also included hand-picked pairings from our Prepared Foods Gourmet Case to make summer entertaining easier than ever.

We look forward to introducing you to our picks and offer you a fair warning – if you ask our Wine Consultants for their favorite selection, don’t be surprised if they simply say “yes!”

2020 Henry of Pelham “Heinen’s Cuvee” Rosé
Our annual collaboration with our friends across the lake in the Niagara Peninsula is back for an encore! As unique as it is delicious, this hand-crafted wine combines estate-grown Pinot Noir, Gamay, Riesling and Pinot Gris. It is redolent with flavors of ripe strawberry and tangy citrus notes.
