Have you ever been struck by “option overload”? That’s when you are faced with hundreds of choices, and because it feels so overwhelming, you throw up your hands and do nothing at all.
I can always count on a good old-fashioned case of decision fatigue whenever I go shopping for a new outfit. I’ve been known to just walk out and find something in my closet instead (which is probably a good thing!). And don’t even get me started on scrolling through endless channels in search of something decent to watch on TV. Have you been there?
Having choices is a beautiful thing, but having too many can be self-defeating. This is especially true when it comes to food.
The Monthly Club Fx-Approved Meal Plan
If the idea of mapping out your meals sends you into panic-mode, meet your new best friend: the monthly Club Fx approved meal plan.
Traditional meal plans typically lay out a daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner recipe. But if you do the math, that’s a whopping 60 recipes a month! I don’t know about you, but that’s a no-go for me. Just thinking about it makes my palms sweat!
As I outlined in my article on sticking to healthy meals in the New Year, a magical motivational power gets released when we prepare one (yes, only one!) healthy meal: you feel proud of yourself and want to do more.
In keeping with the spirit of less-is-more, each month you’ll get three monthly Club Fx-Approved meal ideas— one for breakfast, one for lunch, and one for dinner. And because snacks play an important part in helping you meet your nutrition needs, I’ll throw in a healthy snack idea too!
Meal planning tip: To get the most mileage out of each meal idea, consider doubling the recipe! This will cover your meals for at least two days (and sometimes more, depending on the recipe and number of people you are feeding!).
