Teriyaki Chicken Lettuce Wraps
Servings: 4-6
Ingredients
For the Chicken Lettuce Wraps
- 1 Tbsp. Heinen’s Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1 red bell pepper, finely diced
- 1 8-ounce can water chestnuts, drained and finely diced
- 3 green onions, thinly sliced, plus more for serving
- ½ cup Two Brothers Island Soy Teriyaki Sauce
- 1 Tbsp. Two Brothers Sriracha Rooster Sauce, plus more to taste
- 1 tsp. grated fresh ginger
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 head butter lettuce, bibb lettuce, or romaine hearts, leaves separated
For Serving
- Two Brothers Sweet Chili Sauce, for dipping
- Heinen’s sesame seeds
- Heinen’s peanuts, roughly chopped
- Extra sliced green onions
Instructions
- Cook the chicken: Heat 1 Tbsp. Heinen’s Extra Virgin Olive Oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add 1 pound of ground chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes, breaking it up with a wooden spoon, until browned and cooked through.
- Add the vegetables: Add 1 finely diced red bell pepper and 1 8-ounce can of finely diced water chestnuts to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes, until the red pepper is slightly softened but still crisp.
- Make the sauce: Stir in ½ cup Two Brothers Island Soy Teriyaki Sauce, 1 Tbsp. Two Brothers Sriracha Rooster Sauce, 1 Tsp. grated fresh ginger, and 2 minced garlic cloves. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until the sauce thickens slightly and coats the chicken mixture.
- Finish the filling: Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in 3 thinly sliced green onions.
- Assemble the lettuce wraps: Spoon the teriyaki chicken mixture into butter lettuce, bibb lettuce, or romaine leaves.
- Garnish and serve: Top with Heinen’s sesame seeds, chopped Heinen’s peanuts, and extra sliced green onions. Serve immediately with Two Brothers Sweet Chili Sauce on the side for dipping.

Notes:
• Use butter lettuce or romaine hearts. Butter lettuce is soft and tender, while romaine hearts are a little sturdier and add extra crunch.
• Dice the red bell pepper and water chestnuts into small pieces. This keeps the filling easy to spoon into the lettuce cups.
• Add the peanuts right before serving. This helps them stay crunchy.
• Adjust the Sriracha to taste. Start with 1 tablespoon for mild heat, then add more if you like it spicier.
• Serve the Sweet Chili Sauce on the side. It works well for dipping or drizzling over the lettuce wraps.
